Meet Wear Haus's New Tailor!

With more than 20 years of sewing experience, we are excited to Welcome Giovanna to the Wear Haus Team!

Her sewing career started with tiny pillows and somehow jumped straight into difficult corset patterns evolving into a lifelong passion for creating garments that are anything but ordinary.

Her love of costuming began in 8th grade with The Academy of the Theatrical Arts, where she was fascinated by the role costumes played in bringing plays to life. Throughout high school at BK, she continued sewing while becoming involved in the Theatre Department, working from everything from acting to costume design. As her involvement in musical theatre began to fade, burlesque was on her mind! She immersed herself in the community and began performing, loving how beautiful, intricate, and sneaky the costuming was.

After discovering the festival scene, Giovanna began creating elaborate, psychedelic costumes for events including Esthetic Evolution, Konnexion, and Decompression. What started as personal passion eventually turned into requests from friends for garment repairs and alterations. Those small repairs eventually became more complex projects as she loves nothing more than a challenge.

In 2016, Giovanna moved to Dallas, Texas, where she attended El Centro College, majoring in Fashion Design. She fine-tuned their technical skills and surrounded herself further in the fashion industry while continuing to perform throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

She then joined Leather Masters, where she expanded her experience and learned the ins and outs of working with leather and specialty garments.

Now recently back in Idaho, Giovanna is excited to bring her two decades of experience to Wear Haus as our in-house tailor.
